About our funding

Perth’s Eastern Region is approaching a new era of sustainable energy use through the innovative Perth Solar City program – part of the Australian Government’s $94 million Solar Cities program.
Everyone who lives or owns property within Perth’s Eastern Region has the opportunity to join this exciting initiative, designed to help households better manage their energy use, make cleaner, greener choices and save money. This includes households within the Town of Bassendean, City of Bayswater, City of Belmont, Shire of Kalamunda, Shire of Mundaring and City of Swan. Residents of these areas can enjoy exclusive discounts on a host of energy-saving solutions - including solar PV systems and solar hot water systems - allowing residents to create and use their own energy!
Residents are also eligible for a FREE home eco-consultation where they can improve their home's energy efficiency and save money.
Western Power is leading this initiative and is supported by a Consortium of industry leaders including Botanic Gardens and Parks Authority, the Eastern Metropolitan Regional Council (EMRC), Mojarra, Prospero Productions, Solahart, SunPower and Synergy.
