By registering to vote or comment, using or visiting www.ecosuperstar.com.au (“the Site”), you agree to these terms of use and our Privacy Policy. This can be viewed at www.ecosuperstar.com.au/privacy_policy. If you do not agree to the Terms of Use or Privacy Policy, please do not use or register with the Site.
These Terms of Use govern the use of the Site. The terms and conditions of the Eco Superstar Challenge itself are additional and can be viewed at www.ecosuperstar.com.au/terms_and_conditions
The Site is owned and operated by Eco Superstar PTY LTD (“we”, “us” and Eco Superstar PTY LTD ”). Please read these Terms of Use carefully as they set out your rights and obligations and the terms on which Eco Superstar PTY LTD makes the Site available to you. They also provide information on how you can participate in the site by voting in the competition and comments on various parts of the website.
Eco Superstar PTY LTD may change these terms from time to time and so you should check these terms regularly. Your continued use of www.ecosuperstar.com.au will be deemed acceptance of the updated or amended terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should cease using this Site.
You agree to use this Site only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else's use and enjoyment of the Site. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any person, bullying, transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within the Site.
All copyright, trade marks, design rights, patents and other intellectual property rights (registered and unregistered) in and on www.ecosuperstar.com.au and all content (including all applications) located on the Site shall remain vested in Eco Superstar PTY LTD or its licensors (which includes other licenced users). You may not copy, reproduce, republish, disassemble, decompile, reverse engineer, download, post, broadcast, transmit, make available to the public, or otherwise use Site content in any way except for your own personal, non-commercial use. You also agree not to adapt, alter or create a derivative work from any Site content except for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use of website content requires the prior written permission of Eco Superstar PTY LTD.
The names, images and logos identifying Eco Superstar PTY LTD or third parties and their products and services are subject to copyright, design rights and trade marks of the Eco Superstar PTY LTD and/or third parties. Nothing contained in these terms shall be construed as conferring any license or right to use any trade mark, design right or copyright of the Eco Superstar PTY LTD or any other third party.
By sharing any text or video with the Eco Superstar PTY LTD you agree to grant to Eco Superstar PTY LTD, free of charge, permission to use the material in any way it wants (including modifying and adapting it for operational and editorial reasons) for Eco Superstar PTY LTD services in any and all media worldwide (including on the www.ecosuperstar.com.au site accessed by international users) without limitation or reservation. In certain circumstance Eco Superstar PTY LTD may also share your contribution with trusted third parties.
Copyright in your contribution will remain with you and this permission is not exclusive, so you can continue to use the material in any way including allowing others to use it.
In order that Eco Superstar PTY LTD can use your contribution, you confirm that your contribution is your own original work, is not defamatory and does not infringe any Australian laws, that you have the right to give Eco Superstar PTY LTD permission to use it for the purposes specified above, and that you have the consent of anyone who is identifiable in your contribution or the consent of their parent / guardian if they are under 16.
We will show your username with your contribution. Eco Superstar PTY LTD may need to contact you for administrative or verification purposes in relation to your contribution, or in relation to particular projects. Please do not endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or break any laws when creating content you may share with the Eco Superstar PTY LTD or place on the Site.
If you do not want to grant Eco Superstar PTY LTD the permission set out above on these terms, please do not submit or share your contribution to or with Eco Superstar PTY LTD .
REGISTERING TO VOTE AND COMMENT
If you would like to take part in Eco Superstar by voting on the videos or commenting on various parts of the website you must register using the Register to vote and comment form which can be found here: www.ecosuperstar.com.au/register_voter.php
People who Register to Enter the Eco Superstar competition do not need to register separately to vote and comment.
When you Register to Enter you are given the same abilities to vote and comment as people who Register to vote and comment
People who Register to Enter and have uploaded an audition video are able to vote on their own videos, as well as the videos of other entrants.
1. YOUR PASSWORD AND USERNAME
When you register to vote and comment, you must provide a unique username.
Usernames which are deemed offensive, defamatory or otherwise unsuitable will not be approved.
When your username has been approved you will be emailed a password that you can then use to log on to the website. It is not possible to change your password.
2. VOTING
Users can vote only once on each video. Voting is done using a star scoring system from 1 to 10, 1 being the lowest score and 10 the highest. Eco Superstar PTY LTD reserves the right to disqualify votes if it has reasonable grounds to suspect that fraudulent voting has occurred or if it considers there has been any attempt to rig the voting.
Voting will determine the most popular videos. A selection of the most popular videos will then be judged by a panel of judges. The judges will decide who becomes a finalist and enters Challenge 2.
Eco Superstar PTY LTD, its sub-contractors, subsidiaries and/or agencies cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any network or line, system, server, provider or otherwise which may result in any vote being lost or not properly registered or recorded.
3. COMMENTING
The Site allows people to comment on video audition entries, video blogs, other videos and text blogs. You cannot comment unless you have registered.
All comments are pre- moderated before appearing on the website.
Comments that are deemed by Eco Superstar PTY LTD to be offensive, defamatory or otherwise unsuitable will be deleted.
Comments that appear on the Site do not represent the opinions of Eco Superstar PTY LTD and Eco Superstar PTY LTD is not responsible for the truth, accuracy, completeness, integrity, safety, timeliness, quality, appropriateness, legality or applicability of any comments.
If a user repeatedly attempts to make offensive, defamatory or otherwise unsuitable comments their account will be suspended indefinitely.
